Dark & Darker Mobile
While at KRAFTON, our department created the key art for the Dark and Darker Mobile Pre-Registration campaign for its global launch. It was a joint effort between myself, Kevin Yoo, Max Bowman and our art director Andy Fernandez to get this project across the finish line.
Concepts
To start the project, Kevin and myself created our initial sketches. Utilizing Unreal Engine proved incredibly efficient for this process, as it didn’t let a lack of assets at this point in the project hinder us. It also let us rapidly explore character poses , lighting, camera angles, and environment block-outs to deliver a multitude of concepts in a very short amount of time.
Once a concept was approved, Max and Andy then began the process of converting our concept into a fully realized 3D scene.
Finished Key Art
Once the key art was rendered and final retouches were complete, the artwork went live across multiple touchpoints, including front and center at Gamescom, as part of its launch campaign.
